Cavs and Pistons Fire Coaches

Earlier this week, Doug Collins stepped down as head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. Days later, the offseason has claimed two more coaches, as Byron Scott and Lawrence Frank were fired by the Cavs and Pistons, respectively.

Scott, who was hired after LeBron James’s departure, was 64-166 in his three seasons in Cleveland.  Nevertheless, the team’s young star, Kyrie Irving, was disappointed and upset by the decision.

The Pistons, who have had a lot of turnover at the head coaching position in recent years, fired Frank after a 54-94 record over his tenure in Detroit. Nate McMillan is seen as a top candidate for the position.
