Puig Stays in Game After Being Beaned in Face, Ejected Later

In the bottom of the sixth inning on Tuesday, Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig got hit in the nose with an Ian Kennedy pitch–and Puig stayed in the game, prompting baseball observers to call him superhuman.

Puig was later ejected after brawling with Arizona’s players after Kennedy hit Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke in the bottom of the seventh after Greinke hit Arizona catcher Miguel Montero to get Puig’s back in the top half of that frame.

The Dodger rookie’s legend just continues to grow.
