Pam Oliver Suffered Concussion After She Was Hit with Errant Pass

Fox Sports sideline reporter Pam Oliver was hit in the head with an errant pass by Indianapolis Colts backup quarterback Chandler Harnish in a National Football League preseason game warmup on August 18.

Oliver kept reporting from the sideline and attempted to tough it out. She said, “You don’t want to be wimpy, you just have to push through it.”

Though Oliver laughed off the head-blow at the time, she eventually retreated to her hotel room with a severe headache. She then began experiencing classic concussion symptoms: recurring headaches, sensitivity to bright lights, and short-term memory loss.

Oliver had a CT scan, which came back clean, but she was diagnosed with a concussion.

She said to Daily News, “I worried about my memory, but after five days things began clearing up. I felt clear-headed and stronger, but the headaches still come and go.”
