Blunt-Force Trauma: MTSU Player Ejected for Multiple Cheap Shots Against Navy

Middle Tennessee State University defensive player Roderic Blunt once was the victim of road rage, but in Monday’s Armed Services Bowl against Navy, he was a menace on the field for all the wrong reasons.

His dirty antics brought comparisons to Ndamukong Suh, considered the dirtiest player in the NFL.

Blunt gouged the eyes of Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds to the point where the Navy coaching staff put a visor on his helmet. He was taunting Navy players all game long and was ultimately ejected in the fourth quarter for getting a second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Blunt had many more–including the eye gouge–that the referees did not catch.

Navy won the game 24-6, but those watching the game wondered why a player would take such cheap shots against players from the Navy.
