It’s been quite some time since the Lone Star State went blue, however, according to a new poll, there’s a man who could make that happen in 2020.

The left-leaning Public Policy Polling released findings from a poll on Thursday, which showed Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban beating President Trump in a prospective 2020 race.

The specific results, released exclusively to Business Insider, showed Cuban beating Trump 47% to 44%.  Not since Jimmy Carter in 1976, has a Democrat won Texas in a presidential election.

According to Business Insider, “Cuban, the owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, made a name for himself in Texas both in business and as an outspoken owner of one of the state’s three NBA franchises. He’s teased a run for 2020 throughout most of 2017, but has hinted that he would be more likely to run as a Republican candidate than as a Democrat, even though he backed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during the general election campaign.”

After seeing the results of this poll, Cuban might consider running as a Democrat as opposed to a Republican. Though, it’s not likely Cuban will take much from this poll at all.

When e-mailed for comment about the poll by Business Insider, Cuban said: “just proves people are bored :).”
