Sen. Susan Collins’ (R-ME) vote might be essential to confirming President Trump’s unnamed Supreme Court nominee. On Sunday, Collins told ABC’s This Week that a Supreme Court pick who had made clear that he would overrule Roe v. Wade would be unacceptable but that she would vote for someone who shows great respect for precedent because she thinks such a justice would regard Roe as “settled law.”

SCOTUS Throws Out Case on Illegal Alien Teenager Right to Abortion

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday unanimously threw out a lower court’s decision that had held that when the U.S. government has a pregnant illegal alien teenager in custody, the government must facilitate the teenager’s obtaining an abortion if she wants one. The nation’s highest court held that the case was moot, and struck the lower court’s decision from the books.
