Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents rescued 33 migrants who were locked in the back of a locked tractor-trailer. The agents made the discovery at the Interstate 19 Immigration Checkpoint on Tuesday night.

Appearing Wednesday on BET Digital’s “#BlackCoffeeLive,” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) admitted that the Trump administration is implementing Obama-era policies at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) visited migrant shelters in the El Paso area Monday and adamantly claimed that women were instructed to “drink out of toilets.” However, a recently surfaced photo shows what appears to be a basic detention center toilet unit with an attached sink and fountain, and an agent who was present at the time of the congresswoman’s visit added context to AOC’s remarks, casting doubts on her harrowing claims.

Monday on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show,” House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) commented on a video obtained by The Associated Press in which a 12-year-old migrant girl tells a lawyer how she and her 6-year-old sister were “treated badly” in a Texas border facility.

Border Patrol officials in the Yuma Sector announced the building of an additional temporary migrant shelter in response to “sustained large volumes of family units in the Arizona sector. Sector officials opened the new shelter for tours late last week.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents recovered three bodies of migrants during a two-day period who died on Texas ranches. The agents recovered the bodies after the migrants illegally crossed the border from Mexico near Carrizo Springs and Eagle Pass, Texas.

The ongoing crisis along the U.S. border with Mexico is causing a substantial increase in the number of migrant rescues carried out by Border Patrol agents this year. More than 3,000 rescues have occurred in the current year–many in conditions that put the agents’ lives at risk in the process.
