Students interviewed on the campus of the University of Florida appeared to overwhelmingly support racial diversity quotas in college admissions and hiring for the workplace — but when asked if they support diversity quotas in college football, the students suddenly disagreed. One student pointed out “just let the skill shine, and whoever’s the best player deserves to be on the team.”

U. of Rhode Island to Remove WWII Murals Due to Lack of Diversity

The University of Rhode Island recently announced plans to remove two murals depicting the events of World War II due to their lack of diversity. The decision was prompted after students complained that the mural was not compatible with the university’s values of inclusivity. According to the school’s Vice President of Student Affairs, “Some of our students have even shared with us they didn’t feel comfortable sitting in that space.”

University of Virginia Students: White People Should Not Use Multicultural Centers

A video published by Young America’s Foundation (YAF) on Tuesday shows several University of Virginia (UVA) students sharing the belief that “white people need to be aware of the fact” that certain “spaces” on campus are simply not for them, and that “they need to be cognizant of the space that they’re taking up.” The students’ views fall in line with the viral video of a black student announcing that there were “just too many white people” in the school’s Multicultural Student Center.

USC Students Demand Mandatory Diversity Classes

On Tuesday, the USC Student Government (USG) is slated to vote on a resolution that will seek to “improve the diversity, equity, and inclusion climate on campus” and asks for $100 million to go towards a scholarship fund to help “underrepresented” groups be better recognized.
