The Democrats Start 2016 in a Four-Point Hole

If the Democrats intended successor loses—and if a new Republican president shows anywhere near Obama’s level of determination—Obamacare stands to be repealed in 2017 and replaced with a limited-government alternative. And most of Obama’s constitutionally dubious executive actions stand to be revoked.

On Thursday, California Governor Jerry Brown proposed a tax in his new budget that would tax all health plans, replacing California’s current tax that only taxes health plans that participate in Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid plan.

Congress Could Quickly End Obama’s Gun Grab

President Obama announced sweeping new executive orders on gun regulations Tuesday at the White House. Within moments of those remarks, Republican Congressional offices issued press statements criticizing Obama’s unilateral moves to tighten gun restrictions. Left out of any Republican statements, however, was any promise to cut funding for Obama’s actions. No matter what the White House may propose, Congress still exercises the power of the purse.

Millions Opt to Pay Fine, Refuse to Buy Health Insurance

Although 2.5 million new customers bought insurance through HealthCare.Gov after open enrollment began November 1, 10.5 million people eligible to buy coverage remained uninsured, according to the Obama Administration. One salient reason for the underenrollment may be that people opt to pay the fine for remaining uninsured rather that ante up the huge sums for insurance.

ObamaCare Bailouts Blocked In Omnibus Bill, Cadillac Tax Delayed

The revolting $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill Republicans dumped on their astonished voters has one – possibly only one – bright spot: the bailout corridors for ObamaCare remain blocked. If Democrats were able to soak taxpayers to keep Obama’s health care disaster floating, they’d do it in a hot second.

ObamaCare Deathwatch: Dems Want the Cadillac Tax On Ice

No “fixes” to ObamaCare should be permitted – full repeal is the only answer, and Democrats must be forced to accept it. Until then, they and their union allies should be made to feel every second of the agony they deserve, without release or reprieve. It is sheer political madness for any Republican to intervene on their behalf, especially when so many of the GOP’s constituents are suffering from lost insurance plans, soaring premiums, exploding out-of-pocket costs, and lost access to their doctors.

Liar-In-Chief: ObamaCare Is the Biggest Rip-Off In History

Before ObamaCare came along, I was paying $170 a month for a single-person catastrophic health care plan. My deductible was $10,000 a year. At the time, I was healthy, around 40 years-old, didn’t smoke, didn’t drink, didn’t use illegal drugs,

Sen. Pat Toomey: Obamacare Is in a ‘Death Spiral’

On Sunday’s “The Cats Roundtable” on AM 970 in New York, Senate Health Care Committee chairman Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) warned that ObamaCare is in a “death spiral.” “If we look at what is happening right now, I think we’re witnessing

Exclusive: Marco Rubio Challenges Republican Leaders To End Obamacare Bailouts

“Why should American taxpayers be bailing out insurance companies, many of whom cooperated with, conspired with alongside the Obama administration to get Obamacare passed?” Senator Marco Rubio asks. “And now they want to come with their lobbyists and basically force the American taxpayer to put money into a fund that bails them out for having lost money on the Obamacare exchanges.”

Dear Democrats: Please Stop Politicizing Thanksgiving

“As you may have heard, for months, there has been a fierce competition between a bunch of turkeys trying to win their way into the White House,” snarked President Barack Obama, during the traditional presidential pardon of a turkey before Thanksgiving.

ObamaCare’s Closed-Door Bailout Could Cost Taxpayers Billions

When America’s largest insurance provider, UnitedHealth Group, announced disastrous losses due to ObamaCare and started talking about exiting from the program last week, I wondered if they, along with other companies grumbling about ObamaCare red ink, might be looking for a bailout.

Reconciliation Should Unite, Not Divide Conservatives

In May, Republicans voted for a budget agreement that “affirmed the use of reconciliation for the sole purpose of repealing the President’s job-killing health care law.” It was a position that united an all-too-often fractured party. The promise to repeal Obamacare in its entirety delivered Republicans the House in 2010 and the Senate in 2014.
