TEL AVIV — PepsiCo bought carbonated drink maker SodaStream for $3.2 billion on Monday, a move that the Israeli company’s CEO hailed as a victory for over the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS) which long targeted the company.
The Pitzer College board of trustees announced on Friday that, following “careful consideration,” it had decided to “rescind…and declare…to be of no effect” a student government vote held during Passover to add an anti-Israel boycott into its bylaws.
“I would say that BDS stands for ‘blind, deaf and stupid,’” quipped Wall Street mega-investor J. Morton Davis at an event last week honoring the state of New Jersey for passing legislation against the Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) campaign targeting Israel.
