By now, if you have heard about Sarah Palin’s new book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas, good chances are that you have read it too. Yet, according to Kevin Scholla, Breitbart contributor, who has been reporting on the former Alaska governor’s book tour, that in order to really experience Palin’s “magic” you have to attend one of her book signings.
Scholla told Breitbart News Executive Chairman and host Stephen K. Bannon on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Radio, people love her and that she relates with personal warmth and easily connects with men, women, teenagers, and children.
Bannon made the case that no one in the political arena today, Republican or Democrat, can connect with the working class like Palin. Scholla says the lines are long at the venues where she sells her book but the crowds are happy and excited to see her. She will not be found at the posh bookstores in upscale malls; Palin’s selling her books at Walmart and convenience stores where ordinary Americans buy their wares. Scholla says she is an “ordinary person who is extraordinary.” She enjoys the crowds asking people: “What’s your name? Where you from… Where do you go to School?” Palin is not just relating to be cordial, says Scholla, she is interested in people, “you relate to her and she relates to you.”
Scholla says Palin does not go alone to these gatherings: she comes with her “entourage,” which is her family. She is frequently joined by her husband Todd, her daughters, and sometimes her cousins. According to Scholla, Palin is “old school she hearkens back to an America we lost or are losing.”
