Wednesday night, Susan Page, the Washington Bureau Chief for USA Today, tweeted out a photograph of a group of people she described as the “past 21 presidents of the White House Correspondents Association.” This is certainly not a photograph that looks anything like America:

On top of the lack of racial diversity, there are only four women. Women make up at least 50% of the American population.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, blacks make up 13% of the population; Hispanics nearly 17%; Asians over 5%.
That demographic is in no way reflected in the leadership of the White House Correspondents Association.
The White House Correspondents Association is one of the most elite and exclusive clubs among the already elite media. This, of course, is the same elite media that is constantly harping to the hoi polloi about racial diversity and attempting to dismiss the Tea Party and GOP as “too white.”
When the left-wing media elite believe no one else is looking, these exalted Thought Leaders sure keep it exclusive, don’t they?
