Biden-Blocking Baker Thanked by Secret Service

The next day, according to the Roanoke Times, “Crumb and Get It” sold out of cookies, and the owner had to close the store because he ran out of cookie dough.

The cookies, which some customers dubbed “freedom cookies,” sold out by noon as even people outside of Virginia called in orders to support McMurray’s business.

“It’s been a great day, a lot of great support,” McMurray told the Times. “A lot of folks are calling orders from out of state for local businesses and charities. That’s what we’ve got to catch up on.”

Local residents told the Times they wanted to support the business -- and McMurray’s right to speak his mind.
