Human Smuggler Drives Truck Loaded with Migrants into Rio Grande

A smuggler drove his pickup truck loaded with migrants into the Rio Grande following a pursuit in South Texas. Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended five migrants as they swam to the U.S. riverbank from the sinking truck. The driver fled to Mexico.

4 Human Stash Houses Busted in One Week in Texas near Border

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents raided four human smuggling stash houses near the Texas border with Mexico during the past week. The raids led to the apprehension of nearly 100 migrants who were recently smuggled across the border. Additionally, agents found 24 migrants stashed in three vehicles being driven by suspected human smugglers.

Smugglers Pack Migrants Into ‘Deplorable’ Border Stash Houses

Human smugglers packed two groups of illegal immigrants into two separate stash houses near the Texas border with Mexico in what Border Patrol agents called “deplorable conditions.” Agents with the U.S. Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley Sector teamed up with Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies and Alton police officers to pursue a tip received from neighbors about possible human smuggling stash houses.

The motto of “In God We Trust” continues to spread among Texas law enforcement agencies in this border area. Two of the most active agencies in the area have now placed the decals on their patrol vehicles in what they are calling a rallying point for all law enforcement.
