U.S. Border Patrol agents continue to block dangerous criminals and sex offenders from re-entering the United States after being deported for their crimes.

This week alone, Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector stopped at least three foreign nationals who had committed violent crimes and sexual offenses against children.

In what Border Patrol officials described as the most significant case of the week, agents assigned to the Weslaco Station working near Donna, Texas, apprehended a Mexican national who had crossed the border from Reynosa, Mexico. After processing the individual at the station, agents discovered the Mexican man had two outstanding warrants from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Intoxicated Manslaughter, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from Supervising Border Patrol Agent Marlene Castro. The man had been arrested on November 15, 2000 by the Pharr Police Department. He was later turned over to sheriff’s deputies for prosecution on the warrants.

Other agents assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Sector apprehended another Mexican national. The agents, who were assigned to the Fort Brown Station, discovered the man had a previous conviction for “Criminal Sexual Conduct, 3rd Degree (Force or Coercion).”

Later in the week, agents assigned to the McAllen Border Patrol station arrested a Salvadoran male after he crossed the border near Sullivan City, Texas. Sullivan City is located just north of the Texas/Mexico border, west of Mission, Texas. After processing the foreign national from El Salvador, agents determine the man had previously been arrested for Sexual Assault of a Child. The man was sentenced to 10 years in a Texas prison following his conviction on the charge.

All of the subjects arrested in these encounters were processed and referred to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas for possible charges of illegal re-entry after removal.
