Kondracke: Obama Has Two Years to Prove He's Not a Failed President

Roll Call Contributing Editor Morton Kondracke argued that President Barack Obama has two years “to prove that he’s not a failed president,” and that most Americans “doubt him” on Thursday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel.

“What this potential coalition [against ISIS] needs is leadership, which it has not had from Barack Obama. I think Barack Obama’s got two years to prove that he’s not a failed president. I’m sure he doesn’t want to do this by being a war president, but this is what history has handed him. I mean, this outfit [ISIS] will butcher anybody who gets in its way, and it’s got to be defeated and he’s going to have to do it. It may take boots on the ground. He should not be ruling that out, and, you know, he’s got to convince this coalition, who doubts him. The Saudis doubt him, everybody in the Middle East doubts him. Most of the Americans doubt him, so he’s got to convince them that he means business.”
