On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA) said President Trump’s statement that Jewish people who vote Democrat show “either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty” is “a profoundly antisemitic statement by the president.”
Connolly said, “I think that’s a profoundly antisemitic statement by the president. To suggest that Jewish-Americans, in their preference in voting, are disloyal, is an old antisemitic trope. It’s disgusting. It ought to be condemned by Republicans as well as Democrats, and I condemn it here.”
