Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were not the only ones getting pummeled in the ring during Saturday night’s fight at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
Actor/singer Jamie Foxx performed a “distinct” version of the National Anthem ahead of Saturday night’s “Fight of the Century,” and viewers promptly took to Twitter to bash the star for the performance.
“Both Boxers should take the first minute of the 1st round and knock out Jamie Foxx for butchering the Anthem!!” added Larry the Cable Guy.
Below is just a small sampling of the reactions to Foxx’s performance:
Jamie Foxx should've sang the National Anthem as Ray Charles. #ThatWouldaKilled

Jamie Foxx is murdering the national anthem. More carnage than Django Unchained. #MayPac

Jamie Foxx's national anthem had more twists and turns than the fight. #MayPac
