A naked-man, covered in blood and in a zombie-like state, terrorized a Victorville neighborhood on Monday when he tried to carjack three vehicles and broke into an apartment before getting arrested and taken to a local hospital.
According to the Los Angeles Times, authorities said San Bernardino resident Daniel Anglin, 19, was likely under the influence of drugs as he carried out his bizarre rampage.
“He was like in a zombie state of mind. You could tell by looking at his face, he just wasn’t there,” resident Lydia Lopez, who witnessed the scene told KCAL-TV. “It didn’t even look like he knew what he was doing,”
Someone captured part of the incident on their cell phone’s camera, which shows a driver shoving Anglin away from his car.
Deputies reportedly arrived on scene after the owner of the home he tried to break into confronted him. The Times notes that Anglin attempted to seal their patrol car before being apprehended and taken to the hospital.
