Israeli Forces End Synagogue Standoff, Complete Evacuation of Amona

The Jerusalem Post reports: The last battle for the Amona outpost happened on a small partially paved road outside the community’s synagogue. The last several dozen activists that security forces dragged by force from the structure laid down in the road, linked arms and refused to move.

“You should be ashamed of yourselves,” one of the activists yelled at police from the ground. “Don’t you know that from here Arabs will carry out terror attacks against Jews?”

The synagogue was the last remaining structure to be evacuated from the outpost where some 40 families had lived. After clearing the house of worship of protestors, police reported that graffiti comparing Israeli police to Nazis was found defacing the walls of the synagogue.
