A coalition of Muslim groups in Great Britain has launched a campaign called “Xmas is evil” including press releases and posters. According to their press release:
In early December 2010, Muslims in the United Kingdom decided to come together to organise a unique campaign to highlight the evils caused by the annual festival of Christmas.
Alhamdulillah (all praise be to Allah), this campaign has proved to be very successful, in exposing many of the ills of society which have unfortunately become prominent in the UK particularly during the Christmas period e.g. promiscuity, drug abuse, blasphemy, alcoholism and general anti social behaviour.
We would like to reiterate that this campaign is in no way intended to target any particular race or community, but rather was launched to expose the distasteful aspects of a festivity that rampantly fuels the aforementioned problems.
We encourage the British public to look to Islam as a solution to their problems, and to recognise that true justice can only prevail when Almighty God is exclusively followed, worshipped and obeyed.”
They describe the evil “fruits” of Christmas including:

On the 4th tennage pregnancy

- Blasphemy

- Domestic Violence
- Homelessness
- Alcohol
- Drugs…”
But don’t worry. On the bottom of the webpage they let us know that they do not “support or condone racial hatred.” Oh, that helps. Thanks.
