Chamber of Commerce 'Significantly Supports' Common Core

On Wednesday, Tom Donohue, the president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said his organization would fiercely support the implementation of top-down Common Core educational standards.

He felt that was one of the best ways to combat the “severe educational and skills gap we face” as a country and society.

“Of course the states should adopt and implement the Common Core educational standards, which the Chamber significantly supports,” he declared during his 2014 “State of American Business” address.

As Breitbart’s Dr. Susan Berry has extensively documented, Common Core has lowered test scores in various states, and teachers have complained that common core makes students into “machines” and “robots.” As a result, more parents may opt for homeschooling options if Common Core is forced on their kids.

Berry has also reported that just as the Chamber of Commerce partnered with left-wing labor unions on amnesty, it has joined with teachers’ unions and the Obama administration to push Common Core.
