Carly Fiorina: ‘Clinton Cash’ Revelations Simply the ‘Clinton Way’

Former Hewlett Packard CEO and potential GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is often critical about Hillary Clinton’s track record as secretary of state.

Thursday morning, Fiorina took to Facebook to criticize Clinton, the likely Democratic presidential nominee, for the new revelations regarding the Clinton Foundation’s donations exposed in Peter Schweizer’s book Clinton Cash.

“It’s the Clinton way: raking in millions from foreign governments behind closed doors while making promises about transparency that they never intended to keep. Now they’re scrambling to refile their taxes and account for her decisions as Secretary of State,” Carly stated. “The American people will have a choice. Are we going to demand trust and transparency from our leaders? Have we had enough of a ruling political class that doles out favors to the wealthy and well connected few?”

Fiorina’s statement comes as The New York Times detailed the story of how a company in Russia received roughly 20 percent of the United State’s uranium reserves.

Hillary Clinton’s State Department approved the deal. Around the same time, individuals connected to the deal also donated to the Clinton Foundation.

The Clinton team told The New York Times there is no evidence suggesting Clinton influenced the deal to reward Clinton Foundation donors.

“To suggest the State Department, under then-Secretary Clinton, exerted undue influence in the U.S. government’s review of the sale of Uranium One is utterly baseless,” said spokesperson Brian Fallon.
