Twelve people have been shot to death, and 13 others have been wounded in Chicago since late Tuesday.

Among the dead is an 11-year-old boy.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the various shootings “began shortly before midnight Tuesday when a 16-year-old boy was killed in the Lawndale neighborhood… [and] about a half-hour later and about 3 miles away, a 25-year-old man was killed.” Approximately two hours after that, two men were killed in Uptown.

In addition to these deaths, a 16-year-old boy, 14-year-old girl, and 42-year-old woman were shot and wounded on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the killing began early with a 25-year-old man shot and killed just after midnight. “Two men were shot to death in the Uptown neighborhood” shortly after 2 a.m. Another man was killed, and two were wounded around 9 a.m.

The shooting continued throughout the day, including the death of a 19-year-old around 9:45 p.m. and the death of a 23-year-old man around 11:35 p.m. The last shooting incident—the last shooting incident reported by the Tribune—occurred at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, when a “20-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting around in the Oakland neighborhood on the South Side.”

It should be noted that Chicago has some of the strictest gun controls in the country. Gun stores are only allowed in a very small percentage of the city, and those sales are recorded by law. The LA Times reports that Chicago also “bans [gun] sales at gun shows within the city limits,” and Breitbart News has previously reported that Chicago has the very gun and ammo tax that Seattle just enacted as a means of fighting gun violence.

It should also be noted that Chicago has an “assault weapons” ban.

Breitbart News also previously reported that gun violence is rampant in Chicago, just as it is in other Democrat-run cities like Baltimore, Houston, Milwaukee, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, and St. Louis.

In all these cities gun control is correlating with more gun crime.
