A man is accused of killing a Chicago actress and mother of two after a video surfaced of him allegedly pawning off her jewelry two hours after the murder took place.

Dominic Sanders, 30, of University Park, was arrested Thursday and faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, home invasion, and armed robbery for allegedly murdering Andrea Urban, 51, CBS Chicago reported.

Sanders allegedly broke into Urban’s Chicago home at approximately 10 a.m. the morning of May 4 before he carried out the alleged stabbing, authorities said.

Urban’s 17-year-old son, Sasha, found her lying on the kitchen floor around 3:30 p.m.

Police say her neck and throat seemed to be cut with a knife.

“This was a violent, horrific attack on a completely innocent victim who had every right to feel safe in her own home,” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin.

The Chicago Tribune reported that surveillance cameras captured footage of Sanders wearing a reflective vest walking in the direction of Urban’s home, then leaving the area at around 11 a.m.

Urban was last heard from around 10 a.m. that morning when she texted a friend. She was supposed to appear at a friend’s house later that day but never showed up.

Someone spotted Sanders at a Melrose Park pawn shop trying to sell rings that the Urban family was able to identify from their inscriptions.

Police say Sanders denied being at the pawn shop but later said he stole the rings off a shelf after gaining access into Urban’s home through the front door.

It is unclear whether Sanders and Urban knew each other.

Sasha and Urban’s daughter, Daria, are reportedly being taken care of by relatives.

GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money that will be set aside in a trust for her children. The page describes Urban as a “free spirit, an actress, and a fighter.”

Sanders is being held without bond and is due back in court June 19.
