President Donald Trump signaled a small victory over the NFL after the Dallas Cowboys stood for the National Anthem at the beginning of their Monday night football game.
“Big progress being made-we all love our country!” he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday morning.
But while Dallas dropped to its knees as a team, they all stood up for our National Anthem. Big progress being made-we all love our country!

But the president pointed out that the Cowboys dropped to one knee in unison prior to the anthem, which promoted “great anger” and booing from fans at the stadium.
The booing at the NFL football game last night, when the entire Dallas team dropped to its knees, was loudest I have ever heard. Great anger

Trump pointed out that ratings for NFL football games were “way down” except for during the beginning of games as people tuned in for the drama.
Ratings for NFL football are way down except before game starts, when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected!

Since Friday, Trump prompted an uproar over the NFL players protesting the National Anthem as each team struggled with how to respond.
