Alabama Judge Roy Moore tweeted on Sunday that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) “teamed up with Democrats and their allies to steal this election.”
Judge Roy Moore tweeted on Sunday, “McConnell and his millions couldn’t beat us in the primary. Now he’s teamed up with Democrats and their allies in the media to steal this election and take us out for good. The people of Alabama will decide #ALSen. Not Mitch and his Democrat pals.”
Roy Moore faced controversy after a Washington Post story accused Roy Moore of sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old and other teenage girls nearly 40 years ago. Roy Moore vehemently denies the accusations.
McConnell argued that Moore should drop out of the Alabama Senate race and then later added that, even if Moore wins the Alabama senate race, he will face a Senate Ethics Committee investigation.
Judge Roy Moore called for Mitch McConnell to resign. Moore said, “He has failed conservatives and must be replaced.”
On Friday, American Majority founder Ned Ryun told Breitbart News Daily host Raheem Kassam that he believes that someone within Mitch McConnell’s camp planted the story to discredit Moore.
Ryun argued, “I’ve been in D.C. almost 20 years. And, again, I don’t have hard proof, and I will say this clearly: I do not have hard proof, but I strongly suspect it’s a very short list of people, all who are associated with Mitch McConnell – whether it’s Josh Holmes, whether it’s Karl Rove, might even be Steven Law – I don’t know, but I strongly, strongly suspect somebody out of the McConnell camp planted the story.”
Moore added, “The elitists in Washington don’t want Christian conservatives in their club, so they’re attempting to overthrow the sovereignty of the people of Alabama. We dare defend our rights! #ALSen.”
McConnell also tweed on Sunday: “They tried to rig the system against President Trump, they’re trying to do it again. MAGA movement will prevail and McConnell will be sent home. Bring it, Mitch.”
