An armed man was arrested in an Amarillo, Texas, church Sunday morning and his wife allegedly cased the building.

News Channel 10 reports that the couple entered St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral Sunday, and an officer working at the church spotted the firearms. Kevin Thomas Winkle was arrested for carrying three firearms and “multiple magazines.” He was booked in the Potter County jail for carrying a gun in a gun-free area.

Winkle’s wife, Rene, was apprehended then released on complaints that she had cased and photographed church grounds.

Kevin and Rene both received trespassing charges and are prohibited from returning St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral.
