President Donald Trump is hosting the 2018 college football national champion Clemson Tigers football team at the White House Monday night.
The event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET in the White House East Room.
Outside the White House Monday morning, president Trump told reporters the Clemson team will be fed “McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King, with some pizza.” He guessed it would be their favorite foods.
The guess seems likely though star Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence favors Chick-fil-A.
The Tigers beat out the Alabama Crimson Tide for the win.
Trump announced January 11 that he would host Clemson at the White House:
I look forward to hosting, right out of the great State of South Carolina, the 2019 NCAA Football Champion Clemson Tigers at the White House on Monday, January 14th. What a game, what a coach, what a team!
