The FBI indicates the July 28, Gilroy Garlic Festival gunman had list of a potential targets that included religious, political, and judicial targets.

Associated Press White House reporter Zeke Miller tweeted:

KRON4 reports that FBI Special Agent in Charge John Bennett, with the San Francisco division, confirmed the presence of a “target list” and said the agency is notifying those on the list, but will not report names of persons of institutions for the sake of privacy and safety.

Benett made clear that investigators are still looking for a motive in the attack. To date the FBI knows the gunman was delving into various, competing “violent ideologies” prior to the attack.
