Dr. Sebastian Gorka: Hillary Clinton ‘Running Scared’ After Nice; Americans Want ‘Wartime President’ Who Can Defeat ISIS

Breitbart News National Security Editor Dr. Sebastian Gorka, author of the bestselling book Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War, appeared on Friday’s Breitbart News Daily with SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon to discuss Thursday’s massacre in Nice, France.

“What we see here is just another event in the new trend,” Gorka said, adding:

Al-Qaeda was interested in very high-value, symbolic attacks. Look at what happened in 9/11, look at the fact that they went for the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the Capitol. ISIS, which comes out of al-Qaeda, has followed a different tactic the last few years. This attack could be linked to ISIS as well.

“What are they doing differently? They’re using guerrilla warfare,” he explained, and continued:

They’re not interested in highly symbolic targets. They’ve just said in their publications, again and again and again, and especially during Ramadan: all you have to do, if you want to be a jihadi, is take the war to the infidel, and concentrate on high amounts of unarmed civilians.

“What have we seen? Two attacks in Paris, a soccer stadium, a rock concert with an American band. Airports in Brussels, in Istanbul. Then we have San Bernardino, a Christmas party. Orlando, a nightclub. And now we have this horrific event in Nice,” said Gorka. “They’ve taken the war to the land of the infidel, and they’re going to continue to do this until we take the war to them.”

He said it was a “wake-up call for all of Europe, for the politicians who vow uncontrolled migration from war zones into the continent – which we know, despite what Secretary Kerry said, we know is being exploited.”

Here, Dr. Gorka referred to assurances from U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry that the migrant population would be carefully screened to keep out terrorists, in both Europe and the United States. He noted that, on the contrary, “we know one of the Brussels attackers was on a false Syrian passport and had acquired refugee status in the E.U.”

Gorka predicted “this kind of attack in France will not be the last, and we can expect to see more like them in America, as well.”

Bannon asked if the government of Francoise Hollande looked “completely and totally feckless” to the people of France, given that Hollande had rescinded emergency terrorist alert status earlier in the very day of the Nice attack, and there have been multiple mass-casualty events on his watch. (Hollande has since announced that France’s state of emergency would be extended for at least another 90 days.)

“That’s the question that the French are going to be asking themselves as they wake up this morning and think about the future safety of their families,” said Gorka. “What did we see after Paris? Lots of tough words. The border checkpoints were reinstated by Hollande back then. What’s he going to do now that’s going to secure the French?”

Bannon asked about the recommendation former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich made last night about administering a test to Muslims and deporting those who profess adherence to sharia law, on the grounds that Islamic law cannot be reconciled with American constitutional principles.

“I think Newt declared war on political correctness,” Gorka said, adding:

Let’s take religion out of the equation for a moment, and just talk about values. It doesn’t matter whether you are a communist, a fascist, or an adherent to sharia law. The question is are you a person who espouses the values of the U.S. Constitution? If you don’t, you’re a threat to all Americans.

“If you are somebody who says, ‘My religion usurps and supersedes the U.S. Constitution,’ you’re a problem,” he continued. “It’s really that simple.”

Bannon asked Gorka to comment on the spectacle of Hillary Clinton’s “running to the phone to call in to Bill O’Reilly last night,” after avoiding even the friendliest press for hundreds of days. Bannon said Clinton’s team was alarmed by her sagging poll numbers and worried about her weak history on dealing with Islamic terrorism.

“I think she knows she’s lost,” said Gorka. “I was in the Fox studio, in the green room, and when you turn on the TV and you see Hillary, you go, ‘What happened to the world? What is she doing on Bill O’Reilly’s show?’”

Asserted Gorka:

Her team finally realized, finally realized, despite San Bernardino, despite Orlando – when they should have realized – that November is going to be about one thing, Steve, and all your callers know this. It’s not going to be about pocketbooks. It’s not going to be about Obamacare. It’s going to be about the slaughter of Americans on U.S. soil and whether we’re going to have a wartime president who wants to defeat ISIS.

“Whatever you think about Donald Trump, whatever you think about his credentials, in a paleo-con kind of fashion, the bottom line is this: this man knows we are at war, and he wants to crush the enemy,” Gorka declared. “That’s why he is crushing Hillary Clinton in the polls, and that’s why she is running scared, Steve.”
