Cam Newton Enrolls at Auburn for Spring Semester

Former Auburn University quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton is enrolled at the university and will take classes during the spring semester.

According to Auburn University spokesman Kirk Sampson, Newton, the Carolina Panthers quarterback, wants to be a “normal student” for the next few months.

That’s right, if you are an Auburn student and you’ve noticed a 6’5″ super athlete walking around campus who looks an awful lot like that statue on campus or that guy you see on Under Armour commercials or on ESPN, it is probably Cam Newton.

The former Heisman winner, #1 draft pick, and starting quarterback for the 7-9 Panthers will be sitting through sociology lectures this spring. Courses in sociology, “the study of human social behavior, especially the study of the origins, organization, institutions, and development of human society,” will hopefully be an asset to the leader of the dysfunctional Panthers as he seeks to become one of the league’s elite quarterbacks.

For now, however, he will have to settle for being a multi-millionaire and ultra-famous “normal student.”
