San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum no-hit the San Diego on Saturday in San Diego, throwing a remarkable 148 pitches and striking out 13.
The Giants won 9-0 as Lincecum (5-9) threw the season’s second no-hitter. Cincinnati’s Homer Bailey threw the first.
The two-time Cy Young Award winner out of Washington State has had a topsy-turvy season up to this point, and he will have some time to rest his arm because he will not have to start again in five days since the All-Star break is next week.
