Eagles QB Mike Vick Forgives Riley Cooper for N-Word Slur

Hours after his brother put a $1,000 bounty on the head of Philadelphia wide receiver Riley Cooper for using the N-word slur, Eagles quarterback Mike Vick forgave Cooper on Wednesday.

CrossingBroad.com had earlier posted a video of Cooper saying, “I will jump that fence and fight every (N-word) here, bro.”

Vick said he has “been there before” in terms of making mistakes and said he forgave Cooper after he addressed him and his teammates.

“As a teammate, I forgave him,” Vick, who got a second chance with the Eagles after he was convicted of running a dog fighting operation. “As a team we forgave him.”

Vick said he has known Cooper for three years and that was not the type of person that he was. Other teammates said they were personally offended by Cooper’s remarks, for which he has apologized and was fined a “good amount” of money.
