Raiders Re-Sign Charles Woodson; Antonio Cromartie Joins Cardinals

With a lot of money to spend and few new players to show for it, the Oakland Raiders awarded their long-suffering fans a blast from the past on Thursday by re-signing Charles Woodson. The 37-year-old cornerback and former Heisman Trophy-winner spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career as Raider. He won a Super Bowl with Green Bay after leaving Oakland.

The Cardinals, which lost Karlos Dansby to free agency and Rashard Mendenhall to retirement, signed defensive back Antonio Cromartie to a one-year deal. The ninth-year cornerback, set to make $9.5 million before becoming a salary cap casualty in New York, boasts 28 interceptions and 12 children.

Despite numerous marquee names matching up with new teams, several star players still find themselves without a contract, among them defensive end Jared Allen and running back Knowshon Moreno.
