Zealous Prosecutor Wants Adrian Peterson Arrested for 'Smoked a Little Weed' Admission

The lawyers prosecuting Adrian Peterson want the player arrested again and the judge off the bench for the child-abuse case.

The Vikings running back allegedly told a court urinalysis overseer, known colloquially as a meat gazer, that he had “smoked a little weed” while on bond.

”In light of this statement, and the fact that it was made during the urinalysis testing process, and the term ‘weed’ is a common slang term for marijuana, the state argues that the defendant has smoked marijuana while on bond,” the prosecution wrote. They want Peterson arrested for the admission.

The prosecution also asked an amused Judge Kelly Case to recuse himself from the case for labeling lawyers for the prosecution and the defense “media whores.” The judge apologized but refused to voluntarily take himself off the case. The parties await a hearing on the matter.

Given that the clock on 29-year-old Peterson’s career ticks, the prosecution may attempt to prolong the case through a series of such side motions to force a plea agreement.
