Jameis Fatigue: FSU Coach Jimbo Fisher Walks Out of Presser

The Florida State Seminoles enjoy a bye week. There’s no respite for Jimbo Fisher on Jameis Winston questions.

“We’re moving on with Louisville and talking about the other things,” Fisher responded in Belichickian fashion to an inquiry about his beleaguered quarterback on Monday. “Everything should be great.”

The coach contends that the Q&A session was supposed to remain a Jameis-free zone. The journalists claim they heard nothing of the sort. Inquiring minds wanted to know about autographs and crab legs and sexual assaults and filthy proclamations in the student union and BB-gun fights and who knows what else.

So when the Jameis questions kept coming, Jimbo got going from the Birmingham Monday Morning Quarterback Club.

“Why is my reputation taking a hit?” he asked the Alabamans. “For backing a kid who has done nothing wrong? I don’t want to get into this. The questions weren’t supposed to be asked today. I’m done. I’m done.”
