Oregon Moves into Top 4 of CFB Playoff Rankings

The College Football Playoff rankings lost an SEC team in its fab four and gained a Pac-12 team in the wake of the weekend’s slate of games. The four team’s at the top of the rankings at season’s end will compete in a playoff for the national championship.

Oregon, which trounced Stanford on Saturday, moved from five to four by virtue of Ole Miss falling to Auburn. Mississippi State remains atop the rankings. Florida State stayed at two after surviving a scare at Louisville last Thursday.

Though Florida State sees no ranked challengers for the remainder of the season, the other top-four teams must surmount formidable challenges. Mississippi State face potential roadblocks in Alabama and Ole Miss, Auburn faces Alabama to end the regular season, and Oregon travels to Utah this weekend.

Here’s the top ten…

2. Florida State

3. Auburn

4. Oregon

5. Alabama

6. TCU

7. Kansas State

8. Michigan State

10. Notre Dame
