SANTA MONICA — Left-wing organizers refused a request to recite the Pledge of Allegiance during a “Resist Trump” meeting on Sunday sponsored by MoveOn.org to plan protests against the President-elect.

We’re launching something this week. We’re now heading into bathing suit season. … Do not let your young girls and teen girls buy their summer clothes or bathing suits at Target.”
A month after launching an effort to boycott retail giant Target over its decision to allow transgender men to use women’s bathrooms and changing rooms in the retailer’s stores, theAmerican Family Association (AFA) met with the chain’s management but were warned not to expect changes in the policy.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a letter to the chairman of the Target Corporation asking him for “the full text of Target’s safety policies.” The AG wrote, “As chief lawyer and law enforcement officer for the State of Texas, I ask that you provide the full text of Target’s safety policies regarding the protection of women and children from those who would use the cover of Target’s restroom policy for nefarious purposes.”
People have taken to social media to express disgust and outrage over Target’s decision to allow transgender people to use any bathroom or fitting room.
On the heels of an announcement from department store giant Target that transgender shoppers and employees may use whichever bathroom they choose in Target stores, a campaign to boycott the chain was launched, garnering more than 200,000 signatures in a single day.
