Nicolás Maduro Tells U.N.: ‘Venezuela Is Stronger than Ever’

Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro made his way to New York Wednesday to address the United Nations General Assembly, where he accused the United States of orchestrating a terrorist attack against him and, without mentioning the grave humanitarian crisis his government created, declared, “Venezuela is stronger than ever.”

Colombia Sees Biggest Cocaine Boom Ever After Deal with FARC Communists

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime revealed in a report Wednesday that Colombia produced record yields of cocaine in 2017, a major blow to joint U.S.-Colombian investment in dissuading peasants from harvesting coca leaf and an outcome some conservatives predicted as inevitable to peace talks with the Marxist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
