Fact Check: Jonah Goldberg Proves He’s Clueless on Clintons and the Russian Uranium Deal

Jonah Goldberg of National Review has joined the defense of Hillary Clinton’s involvement in the Uranium One scandal, urging reporters to “know what they’re talking about” before “blithely and irresponsibly” calling for further investigation. Ironically, it is Goldberg’s case that falls flat because of his serious omissions and failure to account for critical facts.

The Clinton defense in the Uranium One deal rests entirely on us taking their word for the fact that there is nothing to see. But of course, that is what they said about the email server. And we now know how widely they lied about that scandal. The fact that the news media is playing lap dog and not watch dog in this case does enormous damage to the integrity of our government.

Clinton Foundation Refuses to Release Names of 1,076 Secret Foreign Donors

CGEP has to date released a grand total of 24 names, leaving a total of 1,076 foreign donor names still secret. The Clinton Foundation and CGEP apparently have absolutely no intention of releasing any additional names, nor will they release the amounts donated by any of the 24 donors whose names they have released.

Clinton Cash Uranium Deal Approved by Foreign Investment Committee 52 Days After Shareholders Finalized Takeover

The speedy approval of the ARMZ-Uranium One transaction (CFIUS Case No. 10-40) raises the possibility that the deal may have received expedited treatment, though the management of Canadian based Uranium One stated in a Management Information Circular/Notice to Shareholders published August 6, 2010 and dated August 3, 2010 that “Uranium One and ARMZ intend to submit a joint voluntary notice with CFIUS during the first week of August 2010.”
