Semi-Nude Body of Migrant Female Found on Texas Ranch 80 Miles from Border

A Brooks County, Texas, Sheriff’s Office deputy reported the death of a female migrant whose body was nude from the waist up when discovered. The woman’s shirt and bra were not found near the scene of her death on a ranch located about 80 miles from the Texas-Mexico border. The area is a known human trafficking conduit where migrants are marched around the U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint located in the middle of the county.

Another Migrant’s Body Recovered from Texas Border River

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents recovered yet another body from the deadly Rio Grand border river that separates Texas and Mexico. This is the 12th death this year of migrants illegally crossing the border in this sector — including at least three children.

Migrant Group Apprehended in Texas’ Deadliest Human Smuggling County

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents patrolling in Brooks County, Texas, disrupted a human smuggling group attempting to move 17 migrants around the Falfurrias immigration checkpoint. Brooks County is the deadliest in Texas and one of the worst in the nation.

Drowned Migrant’s Body Recovered from Texas Border River

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents recovered the body of a migrant who apparently drowned during an illegal border crossing. The recovery took place not far from the scene where agents rescued 17 migrants earlier in the week.

Four Women Convicted for Setting Migrant Water Stations in U.S. Wildlife Refuge

A federal court in Arizona convicted four women after they left containers of water in the desert for migrants who illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico. The volunteers for a non-profit group illegally entered the Cabeza Prieta refuge and left water jugs to help migrants make their trek across the desert.

Deceased Migrant Girl’s Father Did Not Report Illness for 7 Hours, Says CBP

CBP officials stated that the father of the seven-year-old girl who died in Border Patrol custody on December 7 claimed she was in good health until seven hours after they were apprehended. The father made mention of the girl being sick as they began a two-hour bus ride from the forward operating base to the Lordsburg Border Patrol Station.
