Deceased Migrant Girl’s Father Did Not Report Illness for 7 Hours, Says CBP

CBP officials stated that the father of the seven-year-old girl who died in Border Patrol custody on December 7 claimed she was in good health until seven hours after they were apprehended. The father made mention of the girl being sick as they began a two-hour bus ride from the forward operating base to the Lordsburg Border Patrol Station.

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents found the bodies of four migrants who died while attempting to cross the border from Mexico into Texas. They apparently drowned in the Rio Grande River during a four-day period.

Brooks County Sheriff Benny Martinez spoke with Breitbart Texas about the humanitarian consequences of unsecured borders in a recent interview. More than 600 migrants died in this single South Texas county as cartel-connected human smugglers attempt to circumvent their “cargo” around an inland Border Patrol checkpoint. Other consequences in this county include migrants being raped, assaulted, and exposed to extremely dangerous medical conditions like heat exhaustion and dehydration.

Arizona Border Patrol Agents Spot 188 Migrants in 33 Hours

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrested nearly 200 migrants, including families and unaccompanied minors, during a 33-hour period after they illegally crossed from Mexico. The sector has witnessed an increase of more than 100 percent of migrants attempting to make the dangerous trek across the Arizona desert.

Migrant Death Toll Continues to Rise Under Open Border Policies

The Texas summer heat and the U.S. government’s open borders policies continue to take their toll on the lives of illegal aliens crossing the border from Mexico. This week, Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents carried out the rescues of 15 migrants and recovered the body of one deceased migrant.

New Relief Effort Records First Saved Migrant Lives in South Texas

A new program aimed at saving the lives of lost migrants recorded its first saves this week. The program places unique signs at key locations instructing lost migrants to call 911 for assistance. The calls help Border Patrol agents save time in the rescue and apprehension of those lost.
