An NBC News and MSNBC “legal analyst,” former impeachment lawyer, and Russian hoaxster, Daniel Goldman, announced Wednesday he would be running for Congress as a Democrat in New York’s newly drawn Tenth Congressional District.
The 9/11 and Kenya conspiracy theorists each had their own nicknames: “Truthers” and “Birthers,” respectively. But the Russia fanatics have not received their own title — some call them “Russia truthers.” Not quite as snappy, nor was my go-to label for a while: “Birthers with Advanced Degrees.” So I’m proposing a new nickname for the Putin-obsessed: the “Rushers.”
Daniel Goldman, the lead impeachment investigator for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on the House Intelligence Committee, claimed in 2018 that the Steele dossier was true and defended the FBI for using it to investigate then-candidate Donald Trump.
Rep. Matt Gaetz asked Goldman if he thought he was non-partisan. He then displayed Goldman taunting President Trump on Twitter over a “pee tape.”
