BuzzFeed News recently published an article outlining how Saudi Arabia infiltrated social media firm Twitter in order to identify Saudi dissidents. According to the report, Twitter was completely unprepared for foreign governments to spy on its users. According to one former employee, “Nobody told us that we would be approached, that we would be — I don’t know if ‘seduced’ is the right word — that we would be intimidated into giving any kind of Twitter information.”

Project Veritas: Twitter Suspended James O’Keefe to ‘Prevent the Next Trump Situation’

Twitter locked the account of investigative journalist James O’Keefe last month, after he and Project Veritas released undercover footage showing Bernie Sanders staffers praising Stalin’s gulags and promising that “cities will burn” if Donald Trump is re-elected. According to Project Veritas, “Twitter’s end game is likely similar to that of their Silicon Valley friend Google; in the words of Google’s Head of Innovation Jen Gennai ‘Prevent the next Trump situation.’”

Undercover journalist and Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe was temporarily suspended from Twitter on Tuesday for a tweet he posted requesting the Washington Post correct the record on his reporting about the presidential primary campaign staff of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

University of California, Riverside, professor and former CNN show host Reza Aslan called talk radio pioneer Rush Limbaugh “evil” just hours after Limbaugh announced that he is suffering from advanced lung cancer.
