'No Bueno': Former, Ex-NFL Players Blast ESPN for Airing 'Disgusting,''Horrible' Gay Kiss
After the St. Louis Rams drafted Michael Sam and made him the first openly gay player to be drafted, former and current NFL players were under fire after blasting ESPN for airing multiple gay kisses between Sam and his partner.
Dolphins player DonJones deleted his "OMG" and "horrible" tweets two days after Dolphins lineman Mike Pouncey deactivated his Twitter account for idiotically tweeting about wanting to haze the Dolphins first-round draft pick after the organization came under fire for Richie Incognito's alleged harassment of Jonathan Martin.
Former NFL running back Derrick Ward said Sam's kiss was "no bueno" and it was "disgusting" to see on national television. Sam smashed a cake in his partner's face and kissed him. After multiple kisses, ESPN cut away from the couple.
"National tv is disgusting. Gay or not," Ward tweeted. "Man U got little kids lookin at the draft. I can't believe ESPN even allowed that to happen."
