Katy Perry Plays a Corn-Dog Throwing Jimmy the Greek on 'College GameDay'

The universe waited 4.6 billion years for the convergence of Katy Perry and Lee Corso. The epic event finally happened this weekend.

Perry predicted an Ole Miss upset of Alabama on ESPN’s CollegeGameDay on Saturday morning. On Saturday evening, the pop singer celebrated Mississippi’s 23-17 victory and her successful foray into sports handicapping by pounding a beer atop a table in a bar called Funkys in Oxford, Mississippi.

The nine-time Billboard Hot 100 chart topper addressed playing a bigger party on the pregame show. “I would be honored, of course,” Perry told ESPN’s GameDay of possibly playing at the Super Bowl halftime show. “But I have let them know that I’m not the type of girl that would pay to play the Super Bowl.”

Perry admitted that she had never attended a college football game before Saturday. Nevertheless, she correctly picked Mississippi State over Texas A&M, Auburn over LSU, Ohio State over Maryland, Michigan State over Nebraska, Rutgers over Michigan, and Notre Dame over Stanford before delighting the throngs with her Ole Miss prediction.

Alas, not all of Perry’s picks came through. Amid tearing off Corso’s “Big Al” elephant mascot mask and throwing a corn dog at the camera, Perry predicted Oklahoma over TCU because of Trevor Knight’s looks, urging the quarterback to call her. Perhaps mesmerized by their backer’s beauty, the #4 Oklahoma Sooners fell to the #25 TCU Horned Frogs 37-33.
