DOJ To Investigate Zimmerman – Still Not Interested In New Black Panther Threats

Yesterday, the Obama Department of Justice announced that it would pursue an investigation into George Zimmerman for federal civil rights offenses even though the FBI has already examined the case, and found that Zimmerman had “a little hero complex, but not as a racist.”

In a speech, today, Attorney General Eric Holder said that a legal decision has been made on the case. He went on to say, that whatever the DoJ’s decision, we must not let this latest opportunity to speak “honestly about race” pass as we have done so many times before.

Well, with Attorney General Eric Holder’s permission, I’d to speak honestly about the illegal activities of what appears to be a state-protected criminal enterprise, the New Black Panther Party.

As J. Christian Adams noted at Big Government, the New Black Panther Party “was among the first groups to agitate for Zimmerman to be prosecuted, starting with a rally outside the Sanford, Florida police headquarters on March 11, 2012…”

Al Sharpton, widely credited with fanning the flames, arrived the next day. As Andrew Breitbart reported in 2011, the New Black Panthers’ Shabazz also marched with candidate Obama and shared a podium with him in Selma, Alabama in 2007. Shabazz is also the same defendant that Attorney General Eric Holder and his Justice Department cut loose from the voter intimidation case of United States v. New Black Panther Party, a case I prosecuted. Shabazz was dismissed after we obtained a default against Shabazz for failing to respond to our lawsuit. That’s justice, Eric Holder-style. After Trayvon Martin was killed, Shabazz took his act on the road to Sanford, Florida.

On March 22, 2012, Al Sharpton held a huge rally at Ft. Mellon Park with Tracy Martin, Sybrina Fulton, Benjamin Crump, Daryl Parks and  other members of the Justice for Trayvon “scheme team” as well as other professional race-hustlers.

Who do you suppose was standing right in front of the stage passing out “Zimmerman Dead Or Alive” flyers?

There are about 200 different audio video versions of the New Black Panthers handing out the flyers at Sharpton’s Mellon Park rally.

Last I checked, vigilantism and placing a bounty on someone’s head, is illegal in America. Or it used to be illegal.

When asked about the flyers a few days after the rally on CNN, (which had made big news in conservative media)  Daryl Parks, a Martin family attorney, said he  rejected and condemned the actions taken by the NBPP.

Parks said “We do not condone it, in fact, we CONDEMN those people.”

But they didn’t bother to condemn “those people” when they were standing directly in front of the stage, passing out the flyers only a few days earlier.

On March 30, 2012, in an e-mail response to a Washington Times inquiry, DOJ Office of Public Affairs’ Xochitl Hinojosa wrote: “The FBI is aware of the statements and we are unable to comment at this time.”

They haven’t done much – if any – commenting on it, ever since. They were too busy working on “justice for Trayvon” to bother with “justice for the Zimmerman family.”

A member of Zimmerman’s family actually sent a plaintive letter to Atty General Eric Holder pleading for help in April of 2012, asking him why the Panthers hadn’t yet been arrested for threatening his family.

“I am writing you to ask you why, when the law of the land is crystal clear, is your office not arresting the New Black Panthers for hate crimes?” the family member wrote to Holder.

“The Zimmerman family is in hiding because of the threats that have been made against us, yet the DOJ has maintained an eerie silence on this matter. These threats are very public. If you haven’t been paying attention just do a Google search and you will find plenty.

Since when can a group of people in the United States put a bounty on someone’s head, circulate Wanted posters publicly, and still be walking the streets?”The New Black Panthers have issued ultimatums to the Sanford authorities, saying they want Zimmerman arrested “dead or alive.” They have placed a bounty on Zimmerman’s head, and have called for the building of an army of vigilantes to track him down and effect a citizen’s arrest.

Most recently, the New Black Panther Party has called for violence. In a conference call recorded over the weekend, the militant group said it planned to “suit up and boot up” and prepare for the next stages of the “race war.”So far, however, no members of the New Black Panther Party have faced legal consequences.

A year and a half later, the NBPP is threatening mob violence once again. Shouldn’t the Justice Dept be more concerned with them, than the man who was acquitted by a jury of his peers?
