Gainor: ‘Where Were the Journalists All These Years’ as Harassment Scandal Engulfs Washington

Media-ABIN BOTSFORD THE WASHINGTON POST VIA GETTY

Media Research Center Vice President of Business and Culture Dan Gainor joined Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Monday to discuss his Fox News op-ed on the fallout from the multiple journalists accused of sexual harassment and how the subject is now consuming Capitol Hill.

As for the media scandals, Gainor said, “Conservatives always complain about how the media elite don’t listen to us. But apparently, they don’t listen to anybody. They don’t listen to their own staff. So, their own staff are so afraid that even when the Washington Post story about Charlie rose came out, only three of the people were willing to be named. Five of the people complaining wouldn’t even go on record because they’re afraid it would hurt their careers.”

As for Capitol Hill, Gainor pointed out that House Minority Leader Pelosi’s answer on Meet the Press shows it’s tough for her to defend Rep. John Conyers, the latest Democrat to be accused of harassment. Gainor also speculated as to where were journalists all these years looking into these accusations?

“There’s a lot that goes on in Congress that we don’t know – a lot that goes on in government that we don’t know. And it’s interesting how these things come to light and you wonder, where were the journalists all these years looking into all these things?” said Gainor.

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
