Analyst: Apple Will Introduce Phone with No Charging Port in 2021

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated in a new investor note that Apple plans to introduce four new OLED iPhone models in 2020 and a new iPhone with no lightning port in 2021, which will “provide the completely wireless experience.” The Lightning port, the only port on most newer iPhones, is used for charging or connecting accessories like headphones.

This included First Lady Melania Trump, who was labeled a “former sex worker and porn star” on Wikidata for more than a week. Many Wikipedia-affiliated sites use Wikidata’s information, so the description consequently appeared at her page on Simple Wikipedia, whose target audience expressly includes children, and remained for over a week.

China has criticized tech giant Apple for allowing an app that tracks Hong Kong police and protests on the iPhone app store. The Chinese Communist Party newspaper accused Apple of “guiding Hong Kong thugs” by making the app available. Apple originally pulled the app, but returned it after massive backlash against bowing to the demands of communist China.
