Trump: Britain Should Make Its Own Decision, But I Think ‘They’re Better Off’ Without the EU

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stated that Great Britain is “better off” with out the EU, but that he wants them “to make their own decision” during an interview broadcast on Thursday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel.

Trump said, [relevant remarks begin around 14:00] “I think the migration has been a horrible thing for Europe, a lot of that was pushed by the EU. I would say that they’re better off without it, personally, but I’m not making that as a recommendation, just my feeling. I know Great Britain very well. I know, you know, the country very well. I have a lot of investments there. I would say that they’re better off without it, but I want them to make their own decision.”
